The album end with the title track ‘ In the End’ which again it hard not to see last sad years events in the title. ‘Summer Song’ has a very upbeat feel but with the slightly cutting vocals that almost became part of their staple “maybe we’ll have an accident” adding a slight twist to what otherwise comes across as a love song of sorts. ‘ Illusion’ is similar in that it moves away from the heavier side and has a feel a bit like their previous hit ‘Linger’. ‘ Catch Me If You Can’ is much slower starts and end with a more downbeat tone, reminding us of the different sides the band that made them stand out from the crowd. ‘ Wake me up when it’s Over’ again sounds like back to their heyday of their social messages “fighting’s not the answer” mixed with a strong powerful chorus. From said opening track it certainly does, it is classic Cranberries with her strong vocals leading the way backed by the Pop / Rock sound we came to love. This is especially the case when the opening tracks is titled ‘ All over Now’ but it is her final gift to the World and hopefully it provides the legacy she deserves. It is hard not to see with these tragic events in mind when you listen to the album despite their being no indication she intended to end her life. It was during this recording that Dolores O’Riordan was sadly found dead in her hotel room having drowned in the bath, seemingly after excessive alcohol intake. They had been back together and wrote and recorded this album ‘In the End’ over the course of 2017 - 2018. The Cranberries had their peak period during the nineties with songs such as ‘Linger’ and ‘Zombie’ and it was quite a peak having sold over fourty million albums to date. With this album recorded in London by producer Stephen Street (having already been at the helm of Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? in 1993 and No Need to Argue in 1994), The Cranberries bow out with elegance and modesty. An album than ensure the Cranberries will linger in people's hearts The ballads Illusion and In the End have a kind of twilight quality, but of the softest and most benevolent sunset there is. But as they have often demonstrated over the past three decades, this Irish band never loses sight of a certain hope and energy the lyrical melodies of Got It (with its overwhelming bass), and Summer Song are here to prove it. The strings that surround the finale of a piece like Lost, or the litanic piano of Catch Me If You Can, only reinforce the chills that flow through the listener when listening to In the End. Strangely, the titles and lyrics are often about loss and endings in these songs that pack significant emotional impact, not only because of the tragedy that surrounds them, but also because the melodies and arrangements are often intrinsically melancholic. It’s with the support of the O’Riordan family that the bandmembers came back together once more to complete the songs. It’s thanks to demos recorded a few weeks before her passing that this musical resurrection has been possible: Noel Hogan, The Cranberries’ guitarist, had started working on the tracks in May 2017 while on tour, before recording eleven demos with the singer a few months later. Sad because it is the band’s 8th and final album (in their initial line-up at least), but beautiful because we get the pleasure of hearing the voice of Dolores O'Riordan once more, who died suddenly on 15th January 2018. The story of this album’s genesis is both a sad and beautiful one. Cranberries album in the end rar download#Purchase and download this album in a wide variety of formats depending on your needs.
